I graduate college in two months.

I think at least half of the people my age from my youth group are engaged right now.

It is four years since I graduated high school and I still spend most of my time hanging out with high school kids...

...but I'm enjoying every minute of it!

Right now I don't really have anything to do. I had started to leave for class, but then I realized that my first class today is at noon, and it was only 10:30am not 11:30am, so I came back up here. I don't think I have ever written just a normal type update so I figured I would try something different today.

It is insane for me to think that this semester is already halfway over. Looking back two months to when the semester started, I am blown away by how much things have changed in such a short time. Most of it has been really cool changes. First Sara left for Nigeria. Then Kim left for Spain. (Both of those are really cool because they are actually doing what God has been leading them toward and preparing them to do for years now.) Small Groups started up in the youth ministry. We have started doing P&W that is entirely student lead (as in without my help) once a month on Wednesday nights (By the way, the next one is coming up on the 14th! That is less than 2 weeks away!). That might not seem like a whole lot, but those are pretty huge changes for me. God is also making a lot of changes in my own habits and thinking right now.

I have no idea, as of yet, what God is preparing me for. "What happens after college?" is the biggest question I have really faced in my life so far. So if you know of anyone looking for someone who has a degree in Technical Communications (enjoys playing with video cameras, sound boards, lights, and computers) let me know!

I'm excited, maybe a bit scared, but mostly just trying to learn more about what it really means to trust God.

10 Artists

Ana made a request that I list my 10 favorite artists I would put on my iPod if I had one. So here they are, in no particular order, based on my current mood and circumstances:

David Crowder Band

Shane and Shane

Sanctus Real

Blue Man Group

Burlap to Cashmere

Jars of Clay

Relient K

John Reuben

Smalltown Poets

Waterdeep

Ok that is 10. Five Iron Frenzy and Flyleaf could easily make it on there some other day... but for now I will go with those ^^^.

I done been tagged

Um I spose I will at least try to come up with six weird things about me (which will be difficult considering I am probably the most normal ever. psh.), but I refuse to continue the silly chain by tagging other people.

1. My head is permanently tilted like 20ยบ to my right. I don't know why. It's been like that for as long as I can remember. If you hadn't already noticed that in pictures of me then it will now drive you crazy. enjoy.

2. My left eye is super lazy and sometimes it just kinda drifts off to sleep. Kim is convinced that it can be fixed, and her dad is an eye doctor so she might be right, but that sounds expensive.

3. I have slept in a twin size bunk bed all my life, with the exception of times when I have stayed in hotels and when I was a baby and slept in a crib. Currently I sleep in the top bunk and my dog gets the bottom.

4. My favorite pens are .5 mm Uniball Vision Elites in either blue-black, or black ink. I usually have one clipped inside my right pocket.

5. In 1598 several Gandillons were hung and/or burned for being werewolves. They've actually made a movie now out of a ficitonal account that borrowed our last name from the actual account in 1598. Maybe you have seen previews for it. It is called Blood and Chocolate and the main character is Vivian Gandillon. If only we could get some money for that or something. Another side-note: My family and my uncle's family are the only Gandillons in the United States, and chances are that all Gandillons worldwide are somehow related to me.

6. I used to drive a mini-van before it was brutally murdered, and, unlike most teenagers stuck with mom's grocery getter, I actually enjoyed it. The thing was just so darn practical for transporting equipment and people. Now my car is theoretically much cooler, but sometimes I really miss that old van.

I feel like reminiscing...

I was looking back at old posts and realized that two of them have to do with Ana attacking me with dessert toppings. This is not a trend I wish to continue.

Also, I am sad that the 5 Random Questions thing has ceased. Someone else needs to ask me 5 random questions! Perhaps Becky... let's see if she actually reads this.

I would probably blog more often, but my life really is relatively uneventful. Most of the exciting stuff that happens in my life you guys are around for anyway.

I really don't have anything to say... that wasn't even much reminiscing. oh well.

Yeah, so this morning I got up and went to blow my nose and happened to notice that the stuff that hit the kleenex was very green. Not green like "ew nasty you must be coming down with some strange disease" green, but more like "what the heck? did someone shove cake icing up your nose?" green. Hmmm.... I wonder why that is.

I think it all started when a rogue Spanish agent made a hit on the Bosnian mafia... then things escalated from there.
